Pet Education & Training Services was founded in 1991 by Julie Bond, a woman with extensive experience and training in all aspects of animal behavior and care.  She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Psychology and a Master's degree in Animal Behavior from the University of California at Davis.

Julie Bond worked as an animal health technician and practice manager in a southern California veterinary practice for 4 years and was a wild animal trainer at the world famous San Diego Wild Animal Park.

Julie Bond's publications on a variety of behavior topics can be found in well-respected research journals and she currently writes a monthly column on behavior and other pet-related topics for a San Francisco Bay Area newspaper.

Julie Bond is a member of the National Honor Society in Psychology, The Golden Key National Honor Society, Sigma Xi, and the International Association of Pet Dog Trainers.  She is also the staff behaviorist for Furry Friends Pet Assisted Therapy Services, a group which has been providing pet-assisted therapy to people all over the South San Francisco Bay Area for more than 20 years.  She is the staff behaviorist for PetPals Animal Assisted Therapy Services as well.  In addition, Julie provides consulting services to several Bay Area rescue organizations including BASH (Bay Area Siberian Husky Rescue) and San Francisco Samoyed Rescue.

Julie's canine companions are a 6 year old Labrador Retriever named Cinderella & a 2 year old Collie named Cooper.
